Unfortunately, there isn’t much detail in the listing other than the announcement date and tentative release date. As such, there’s not much for Dungeons & Dragons fans to speculate on. The generic title for the listing is “D&D March Title,” it’s a hardcover book, and it’s coming from the Wizards RPG team. Anything beyond those details is up to the Dungeons & Dragons community to speculate on.

Luckily, the Dungeons & Dragons community is more than willing to speculate on such matters. Youtube channel Nerd Immersion discussed the January 12 reveal in a recent video. During the video, it was pointed out that Dungeons & Dragons boss Ray Winninger has previously said as many as three new books introducing new “classic” settings would be released in 2021. Further, a lawsuit just wrapped up regarding the Dragonlance property, with Dragonlance writer Margaret Weis saying to look forward to news in the near future.

What the new Dungeons & Dragons book will be remains a mystery. It may be a Dragonlance setting book, a new adventure book, or it could be something else entirely. Luckily, Dungeons & Dragons fans won’t have to wait long to find out what’s next. Expect an announcement for the March 16 Dungeons &  Dragons book on January 12.
