Players who want to use digital dice don’t need to pay anything for the tool, but if they want some awesome skins for their dice sets, then that is going to require a digital purchase or two. Starting yesterday, there is a new section in the DnD Beyond Marketplace for Digital Dice. At this point there are two different sets available for Dungeons and Dragons players to purchase and add to their personal collections.

The two launch sets of dice are the common colorful Pigment Pack, which will run players $7.96 and the rare Mythic Dice Set (which is a clear tie-in to the newly released Mythic Odysseys of Theros book). The Mythic Dice Set comes in at $14.99, but the dice have some pretty cool effects and each die seems to contain a look into the cosmos. Although this set is advertised as Rare, it’s unclear whether it will only be available to purchase for a limited time or if it is just Rare because it’s a more expensive tier.
Although paying $14.99 for digital dice may not be everyone’s cup-of-tea, it’s pretty exciting to see DnD Beyond continue to expand its features and offer more options and services for its growing user-base. The combination of free resources available to support stay-at-home play and the new Magic: The Gathering-inspired campaign setting should give players plenty of material to experiment with as they roll some new digital dice.
